We love volunteers! For a successful event, the 2nd 2 None 5K Race crew needs volunteers to assist with a variety of jobs. We welcome volunteers of most ages, although volunteers younger than 16 must be supervised by an adult. There are three volunteer shifts: an early morning crew that assists with the set-up of the course and registration area, t-shirt and goody bag distribution and registration; an event team that provides support along the course during the run, hands out water along the course, assists participants at the finish line and distributes food and water to the finishers and a clean-up/tear down crew.
Sign up for one shift or help out all morning. If you have questions about volunteering please contact Denise at 630-256-4506 or by email at email@example.com. For more information and to sign up, visit our race registration website by clicking here.
Another way to sign up to volunteer is by a new web site launched by Aurora University and United Way called Volunteer Fox Valley, which will help connect volunteers to local nonprofits, such as ours, needing help. Sign up and become a fan of CIS and many other organizations. There is information on our upcoming event and volunteer needs. By submitting your name and phone number, we will receive notification that you are interested in volunteering for our 5K race. Once we receive notification, someone from our organization will contact you. Visit their website: www.volunteerfoxvalley.org.
If someone you know is planning on registering for the 5K, please let them know that the fee through March 31st is $35.00; April 1-13 is $40.00 and race day registration is $45.00. So remind them to register early to receive a discount! Registration website is www.raceroster.com.
